Frédéric Léglise belongs to the new generation of artists focusing on a return to painting. He starts by photographing his female models, captured in the intimacy of a sometimes barely-suggested nudity. The women emerge from a plain white background in a palette of acid colours and pastels that have come to characterise the artist’s work.
His paintings have been shown in particular at the Belevedere Museum in Vienna, the Frissiras Museum in Athens, the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, the Museum of Fine Arts in Timisoara , also in FRAC Haute-Normandie, at La Maison Rouge and at Le Passage from Retz in Paris. He has participated in many Art fairs
